Getting the most out of your professional cleaning appointment is easy — and a little preparation goes a long way. Here’s how to set your home up so our team can focus entirely on deep cleaning rather than organising.
Tidy Before We Arrive (Don’t Clean)
There’s an important distinction between tidying and cleaning. Before your Wexford Cleaning team arrives, do a quick tidy — put clothes away, clear countertops of clutter, and move items off the floor. This means we can spend every minute actually cleaning rather than shuffling things around. You don’t need to pre-clean or do anything else.
Secure Pets
We love animals, but for safety and efficiency, please secure pets in a room, crate, or outside before we arrive. Some cleaning products — even eco-friendly ones — can irritate pets if they walk through a freshly mopped floor or sniff cleaning solution on surfaces.
Point Out Priority Areas
If there’s a particular area you want extra attention on — a heavily used bathroom, a kitchen after a dinner party, a bedroom that’s been neglected — just let us know when you book or leave a note. We build our cleans around your priorities.
Make Sure We Can Get In
For recurring clients, we recommend setting up a key lockbox so you don’t need to be home for every visit. It’s convenient and secure. If you plan to be home, you don’t need to do anything — just let us in and we’ll take it from there.
After We Leave
Surfaces are clean and some may be damp immediately after we finish. Give hard floors 15–20 minutes to dry before walking on them. Everything else is ready to use straight away.
