Cleaning company pricing can feel like a guessing game: vague estimates, callbacks required, totals that change at checkout. This post skips all of that. Wexford Cleaning prices every clean by bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage, using the same rules our booking form uses, and the numbers are all here.
All prices below are before 7% sales tax, which is added at checkout. For the exact price for your home, book online and enter your home’s details.
How the price is built
Every clean starts from three inputs:
- Bedrooms set the base price, which includes one bathroom.
- Each extra bathroom adds $20.
- Square footage adds a surcharge once a home reaches 1,500 sq ft.

What’s included at that price
A standard clean covers everything you need to keep a home consistently clean:
Every room: vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting surfaces, wiping light switches and doorknobs, cobweb removal, emptying trash.
Bathrooms: toilets, sinks, showers and tubs scrubbed; mirrors cleaned; fixtures polished; floors mopped.
Kitchen: countertops and backsplash, appliance exteriors, stovetop, sink and floors.
Bedrooms: beds made, furniture dusted, floors vacuumed.

The First Time Clean
If your home hasn’t been professionally cleaned in the last month, your first visit includes a First Time Clean. It gives the team the extra time to bring the home up to a baseline that later visits can maintain. It’s added to the first visit only, priced by bedrooms:

Example: a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home of 1,400 sq ft that hasn’t had a professional clean in the last month. The first visit is $240 plus a $150 First Time Clean, so $390. If you book every two weeks, each visit after that is $204. Both are before tax.

Move-in and move-out cleaning
A move-in or move-out clean is a top-to-bottom clean of an empty home. It’s added as an extra to the regular price for your home, priced by bedrooms:

Hourly cleaning: $75 per cleaner per hour
Sometimes a full-home clean isn’t what you need. Maybe you want one problem area tackled before guests arrive, or a focused session on the rooms that bother you most. That’s what hourly cleaning is for.
Hourly service is $75 per cleaner per hour. You set the priorities rather than following the standard checklist. Book hourly cleaning online or call 412-981-1122 to set it up.
What affects the price
Frequency: weekly clients pay the lowest per-visit price (20% off), every two weeks saves 15% and monthly saves 10%, all from the second visit. See recurring cleaning.
Current condition: a home that hasn’t been professionally cleaned in the last month needs the First Time Clean on its first visit.
Add-ons: inside the oven, fridge or cabinets, interior windows, walls and blinds are priced individually at booking.
Home size: each extra bathroom adds $20, and homes of 1,500 sq ft or more add a surcharge.

Payment and cancellation
We take credit and debit cards only. Your card is held 24 hours before the clean and charged the day after. Cancelling is free with at least 24 hours’ notice; with less notice, there’s a cancellation fee of up to the full price of the clean.
Why prices differ between cleaning services
You’ve probably noticed cleaning companies quoting very different prices for the same home. A few things to compare beyond the headline number:
Who is coming into your home. Our cleaners are independent contractors. Every one is background-checked and interviewed in person, each carries their own insurance, and Wexford Cleaning carries its own insurance as well. Ask any service you’re considering how they check and insure the people they send.
How the price is set. Flat pricing by home size is more predictable than an open-ended hourly estimate. You see the full price, including any extras you choose and sales tax, before you book.
Is professional cleaning worth the cost?
For a lot of busy households, a recurring clean gives back several hours of chores every visit: bathrooms, floors and the kitchen after a long week.
But the bigger benefit usually isn’t the hours. It’s the mental load. You stop keeping a running list of what needs doing. You stop planning your weekend around chores. The bathroom is just clean when you walk in. That baseline, a home that’s reliably clean without you managing it, is what most people are really paying for.
